Amani. Inaanza. Na. Mimi. In Swahili

The kids of the Children Concern Orphanage said it with me, and I hoped it would bring them comfort. They are some of the lucky ones, rescued from the streets and from abusive situations, and brought here. At the orphanage they receive shelter, food, and a chance for an education, which is huge. They are also taught trade skills, like farming. They raise chickens and goats, and are taught bead crafting to make souvenirs for visitors. On Mondays, they get to eat an egg with their rice and beans. There is still so much work to do here...

To find out more and help these kids visit
