I just wanted to pop over to say "Happy Thanksgiving!" And while yes, my favorite holiday has come under scrutiny, rightly so, for its past, I think we can agree that moving forward, a whole holiday dedicated to Gratitude is fantastic.
I love that this holiday is not commercialized. No one expects you to spend anything other than time with them. AND, there's often pie!!
At thanksgiving, we all collectively make a shift towards GRATITUDE. And that my friends, is the secret to living a happy life.
I am Grateful for YOU!
I am so thankful that we are on this journey together. That we have this amazing tool called Yoga to help us transform our lives. It alleviates our pain and suffering, and encourages us to be up to something BETTER with ourselves.
Practicing Gratitude, like actively practicing, can rewire your brain. Yoga teaches us that where your thoughts go, your energy flows. AND that the energy you put out in the world attracts the same vibration back to you. So if you practice being thankful, life will give you MORE to be thankful for.
I encourage my students to reflect on this daily, and even to keep a Gratitude Journal. Every day, randomly when inspired, write down 3 things you are grateful for....and see just how blessed you really are!!
You have the tools you need to live a happy life. You have so much to be grateful for!!
