We've been chatting a bit lately about growing roots. It's time now to plant yourself into a new season of growth! 🌱🙌🙂
AND sometimes that gets a little messy! Growth is awkward. It’s hard. It’s new territory you’re not familiar with. It’s outside your comfort zone. Chances are at some point you’d rather withdraw and hide than keep pressing onward! But that would be robbing you of your True Potential.
One of my favorite teachers Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us -
NO MUD, NO LOTUS.
See the beautiful lotus flower will only grow if its seed falls into the deep mud. If it falls in the water, it drowns. If it falls on the soil it gets baked in the sun.
Only in the messy murky mud will it take root and grow. Which seems impossible! Especially for the seed, I'm sure! But the beautiful lotus would not become who it is without having made this challenging journey.
And YOU are the same!
Everything you go through, the good, the bad, the ugly, ALL OF IT… helps shape you into the amazing person you are and helps you reach the highest version of yourself possible.
