In a report by Harvard Medical School they note in their positive psychology research, "gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships." It's a good thing we practice that in Yoga! Practicing Gratitude, like actively practicing, can rewire your brain. Yoga teaches us that where your thoughts go, your energy flows. AND that the energy you put out in the world attracts the same vibration back to you. So if you practice being thankful, life will give you MORE to be thankful for! That's why I use my Gratitude Journal every week. Every Friday I sit down, focus on one area of my life and make a list of everything in that realm I have to be grateful for. At the end of the month I read them all. At the end of the year, I read them ALLL! And I can't help but feel truly blessed!
